Second Chance.

He was the blessed child of the Goddesses, nothing is impossible for him. He had Time and Courage in his hands, and with a heart so pure, who could really deny him? He was the child of the second chances, the maker of the happyly-ever-afters. Everything that was wronged, he corrected. Everything that was broken, he fixed. Everything that was hurting, he healed. Everything that was stolen, he found.

It was only logical that when his own heart was wronged, broken, hurt and stolen, he would get the chance to undo the damage.

The young Princess watched the determinate glint in the blue eyes and knew she would not see the young Hero again. She would pray for him, though, for his quest and his pure heart, to lead him through the safest path, the easiest road, the most harmless journey.

She knew she prayed in vain, because he was a Hero, a true one, and a Hero's life was never safe or easy or harmless.

Indeed, he was also the child of Misfortunes, but he did not give up. He crossed the land, time and space itself, searching with endless determination for the other half of him, for a child of Shadow that had been torn away from him. It was a constant feeling, the emptiness within that he instinctively knew he had to fill, and who could fill it. It was a gaping hole of sorrows that he really couldn't understand, but which moved him to continue his search, his quest for wholeness.

He was the Child of the Goddesses, of Chance, of Misfortune... but he had still to prove he was the Child of Hope as well.
