To The Limit. Sheik arches off with a whine, feeling his insides combust with the need and the lust that’s driving him insane, bit by bit. Link echoes the sentiment, grunting and panting, twisting himself all over in search for release. Theirs is a ritual dance by moonlight, an exhausting excersice to remind themselves why they fight, why they bother to survive. Ancient soldiers knew the value of company, the trust that spilled from their closeness. So are they, two wary warriors against the wrath of a empire of darkness, the last ray of light that brings hope to the hearts of the people. But who gives hope to the heroes? Who tenders their wounds and extinguishes their fears? Late at night, after long days spent in fight or flight, under the commanding heat of the unforgiving sun, the two warriors, unique in their own ways, lay down the weapons and the shields, and meet each other half way to despair. They defeat evil one step at the time, be it during the exhausting hours between dawn and dusk, be it during the heavy silence between dusk and dawn. This is how they live, because this is all they have, this time, these days, these nights, this strange sense of rightness. This is all they have, and it’ll be to the limit where they’ll take it. |
